Longevity & Performance at MBS Medicine

Optimize your health, not just your lifespan

Feeling your best at 40, 50, and beyond requires more than avoiding disease. We use biomarker-driven protocols to help you perform, recover, and think at your highest level.

About the wellness therapies on this page

  • Peptide and injection therapies described here are offered as wellness services. Except where an FDA approval is expressly stated, they are not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
  • Everything on this page requires a consultation and a provider's individual clinical judgment. Nothing here is an offer to prescribe any particular therapy.
  • Individual results vary, and no outcome is promised.

Biomarker-driven protocols

We go beyond standard labs. Advanced panels reveal what's driving aging at the cellular level and where the biggest levers are for you.

Hormone optimization

Testosterone, DHEA, growth hormone pathways, thyroid. Hormonal status influences energy, body composition, and how you feel day to day. We evaluate it and treat when clinically appropriate.

Peptide therapy

Targeted peptide protocols to support recovery, muscle preservation, and metabolic health, matched to your labs, goals, and health history.

The difference between surviving and thriving

Standard medicine is designed to catch disease. Longevity medicine is designed to prevent it and optimize function in the years before disease appears. We look at inflammatory markers, metabolic flexibility, hormonal status, cardiovascular risk, and mitochondrial health. Then we build a protocol around what will move the needle most for you specifically.

Peptide therapy

Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the body's own signaling molecules that tell cells to repair, recover, and regulate. Targeted peptide therapy can support energy, recovery, metabolism, sleep, and healthy aging. We offer a range of options, from NAD+ for cellular energy to peptides aimed at recovery and metabolic support, and match the protocol to your goals after a consultation.

What is peptide therapy?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules, instructing cells to carry out specific tasks like repair, recovery, and hormone regulation. Peptide therapy uses targeted peptides to support processes that naturally slow with age, with the goal of better energy, recovery, metabolism, sleep, and overall vitality.
Which peptides do you offer?
We offer a range of options, including NAD+ for cellular energy along with peptides aimed at recovery, metabolic support, and healthy aging. The right choice depends on your goals and your health history, so we review both during a consultation and build a protocol around what you are trying to achieve, rather than a one-size-fits-all package.
How is it given, and what should I expect?
Most peptides are given by a small subcutaneous injection, often self-administered at home after we show you how, over a short and comfortable routine. Some patients notice mild, temporary effects depending on the peptide; we go over what to expect for your specific protocol beforehand and stay available if questions come up.
Do I have to come in person?
No. Most peptide therapy can be managed by telehealth and done from the comfort of your home, so an in-person visit is not required. You are welcome to come into the clinic if you would rather, but the choice is yours.
Important information and disclosures
Peptide therapy is offered as a wellness service and is not FDA-approved for the treatment, cure, or prevention of any disease. Availability of specific peptides can change with regulatory guidance. Results vary from person to person. A consultation is recommended before starting so we can review your health history and determine whether peptide therapy, and which peptide, is appropriate for you. Patients with a history of cancer should discuss this therapy with their oncologist prior to treatment.

Stem cell therapy near Bradenton and Ellenton

Separate from our longevity work, we offer stem cell therapy in person for orthopedic, wound care, and pain management needs. These therapies have not been approved by the FDA, and you are encouraged to consult your primary care provider before undergoing treatment.

Peptides we offer

A sample of the peptide and peptide-adjacent therapies we work with. The right option, dose, and form are chosen during a consultation based on your goals and health history.

NAD+ Cellular coenzyme
A coenzyme found in every cell, involved in cellular energy production. Levels decline with age. Available by injection as part of a wellness protocol after consultation.
Glutathione Antioxidant
A naturally occurring tripeptide antioxidant involved in the body's response to oxidative stress. Available as part of a wellness protocol after consultation.
Sermorelin GHRH analog
A prescription peptide that signals your own pituitary rather than replacing growth hormone. Whether it is appropriate for you is an individual clinical decision made with your provider.
Bremelanotide (PT-141) Prescription peptide
A peptide medication that acts on pathways in the brain rather than blood flow. It is FDA-approved for hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women. Whether any medication is appropriate for you is decided only by a provider at an evaluation.

Except where an FDA approval is expressly stated, these are offered as wellness services and are not FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. All require a prescription or provider order. This is general information, not medical advice.

FAQ

More questions? Contact us.

What is peptide therapy?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that signal specific biological processes. We offer options such as NAD+, glutathione, and sermorelin aimed at recovery, healthy aging, and metabolic support. We discuss what the evidence supports and what's appropriate for your situation, and we only work with preparations from licensed U.S. pharmacies.

How is this different from standard preventive care?

Standard preventive care focuses on avoiding disease. Longevity medicine focuses on optimizing function, performance, and quality of life throughout the aging process. We order labs and use protocols that most primary care practices don't offer.

Is this only for athletes?

Not at all. Most of our longevity patients are busy professionals, parents, and people in their 40s-60s who want to stay sharp, strong, and healthy. Athletic performance is one use case, but it is far from the only one.

How much does a longevity protocol cost?

Costs vary based on labs ordered and treatments prescribed. We are transparent about pricing before you commit to anything. Many patients find the investment significant relative to the impact on quality of life.
